Game Over Mania presents today the shenmue solutions, a game released in 2000 on Sega's Dreamcast console. Witness to the murder of his father by the mysterious Lan Di, the young Ryo Hazuki swears to find him to avenge his father. This is the starting point of this extraordinary adventure that is Shenmue on Dreamcast, a game at the crossroads of a multitude of genres that has its share of action and confrontations inspired by martial arts.
It's been 15 years since the Shenmue series began on Dreamcast, the saga was originally intended to span no less than 16 chapters, but only the first five eventually came out. Surprising on the technical level and disproportionately ambitious in terms of the freedom it offers to the player, the software was already so far ahead of its time that it still retains the same stamp of perfection today as when it was released.
